Tadabbur represents the practice of profoundly contemplating the Qur'an beyond mere recitation to genuinely connect with its significance. It involves opening the heart to its guidance and permitting the words to transform us internally.
 
Indeed, Tadabbur serves as a directive from Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala and one of the reasons for which the Quran was revealed. Allah says in the Qur'an: "Do they not contemplate the Qur'an, or are there locks upon their hearts?" Surah Muhammad (47:24)
